The College of the Holy Spirit begun its humble journey when its founded and named Catholic Academy of Tarlac by ten prominent men of Tarlac in 1939 The school was turned over to the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit in 1940 and was thereby named Holy Ghost Institute and Holy Spirit Academy some years later. The first college courses were offered in 1968 and the school was renamed College of the Holy Spirit of Tarlac. It is directed by the by the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit in the Philippines (SSpS). The SSps is discovered by St. Arnold Janssen SVD ( November 5, 1837 - January 15, 1909) a priest from Germany who’s main objective that time is to form a congregation of nuns that will serve as teachers especially to young girls and to assist the missions of priest.
